Issues with using Bullet Time

As a response to this article:

There are 2 things I don't like about the videos, especially the first one with the woman jumping:

1. The brightness fluctuates distractingly. Looks like cameras have slight variations in sensitivity that must be accounted for.
2. The transition from video to Bullet Time is jarring. I think the flash is an effect they're using to cover up something, meaning it's hard to get a good transition.
