A Suggested Pain Scale

I was just thinking about how I'd make a pain scale, and this is what I came up with:
  1. Unaware of any pain
  2. Not sure if pain is still present or subsided (like listening to a very soft sound, or seeing a shape disappear into a cloud)
  3. Pain is confirmed, but "interesting" (like plucking a hair or pressing a bruise)
  4. Steps are actively taken to avoid the pain (walking with a sprain)
  5. Seeking ways to reduce the pain (headache)
  6. Immediate help for pain is sought
  7. Focusing all attention on reducing pain
  8. Unable to help oneself in removing pain anymore
