iPhone 4 camera

I'm wondering how to make the camera app start faster. Currently its start up time is its biggest flaw, and I think it's getting slower since I got it. Possible solutions:

• delete photos from Photo Roll
• close background apps
• restart iPhone
• reinstall iPhone

It's so slow now that I think I could retrieve a dedicated camera from a bag and shoot before the app starts.
