Nikon D50 DSLR

I got a D50 to replace my Cybershot! It's my first SLR. Since they stopped selling the D50 in 2006, there's no point reviewing it here. I'll just list the advantages and disadvantages of DSLRs compared to compact cameras. These are only what I thought of, so they may be wrong.
  • Faster - start-up, cycling time and flash cycling time
  • Bigger image sensor - better low light performance and picture quality
  • Less noise - even this really basic DSLR has less noise at ISO 1600 than my Cybershot at ISO 800
  • Manual control
  • Longer battery life - the D50 is rated for 400 pictures, flash used on every other picture
  • Better picture quality!
  • Higher price
  • Bulky
  • Harder to use
